WHAT IS EXPECTED OF S. V. J. SENIOR SEC. PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS
1. They should love their Motherland over and above everything else.
2. They should show due respect to the National Flag and stand respectfully when the National Anthem is sung.
3. They should respect and obey their parents, teachers and others.
4. They should take care of their health and keep fit and strong.
5. They should cheerfully accept whatever work is assigned to them. They should learn to face difficulties courageously.
6. They should avoid vulgarity in talk and behaviour.
7. They should always be ready to lend a helping hand to their parents, brothers and sisters at home and to their teachers and companions at school.
8. They should rise when a teacher or visitor comes to talk to them.
9. They should be truthful, whatever the cost may be.
10. They should be kind. They should remember that cruelty is the trait of a bull while kindness is the mark of a gentleman.
11. They should respect the liberties and rights of others.
12. They should not hesitate to say, 'No' when asked or tempted to do a thing which they know is wrong.
13. They should look upon people of all castes and creeds as the brothers.
14. They should take pride in wearing their school uniform.
15. They should always be friendly with others in and out of school.
16. They should never cheat or be unfair while they are playing (or at play) .
17. They should maintain and respect the beauty of the classroom and of the school premises and report to the authorities if there is any damage.
